All over the world, we see plastic litter in our oceans. Balloons, plastic packaging, fishing equipment. It doesn’t matter in which part of the world you are sailing, plastic pollution is an ever-present sight.

Seeing all of this plastic should make you curious about how it all got there, and whether it is having an adverse effect on the animals that live in the sea.

We set about researching the issue, and what we have learned has shocked us.

We run EradicatePlastic.com for two reasons. The first is to educate ourselves about the subject, and to try to make a concerted effort to use less plastic in our lives. The second reason is to try to raise public awareness on the subject of plastic pollution.

We don’t want you to leave this website with the belief that there’s nothing that can be done, and all is lost. Public awareness of the scale of the problem has never been higher. There are amazing things happening all over the world to try to turn the tide of plastic pollution. There is hope!
